Harnessing nature's pharmacy

Who we are

The early mammalian innate immune factors were nature's answer to protect our children before they had an active immune system of their own. Current pharmaceutical technologies target the pathogens, and the diseases they cause but do little to protect our cells directly.

Our patent-pending technology and products harness the power of endemic proteins, which have evolved over millions of years to protect us more broadly than we can today.

History

Founded in 2021 in Frederick, MD by a diverse team of human and animal health researchers and investors

Mission

To advance naturally occurring, safe, broad-spectrum active molecules as a new class of antibiotic alternatives which can reduce the risk of resistance, limit disruption of the microbiome and reduce the transmission of harmful microbes

Vision

Proteins of the innate immune system play a crucial role in preventing a wide variety of infections and could be translated pharmaceutically if fully harnessed

Quem Somos

PENTAGUM

The first barrier in a layered defense strategy

Designed to support field dental care by functioning as a barrier to oral biofilms in austere environments when the warfighter has limited access to routine hygiene.

Active Component Portfolio

The safety, availability, and lack of cold storage requirements for the Multifunctional Innate Immune Proteins (MIIP) we have isolated makes them ideal as multifunctional medical countermeasures capable of being deployed without specialized training or distribution.

MIIP-E1

A Natural Peroxidase Enzyme

  • No known host toxicity

  • Antioxidant - effective at directly reducing excess peroxides and similar molecules

  • Can be used to regulate oxidase activity and ensure the degradation of ROS into non-toxic compounds
